Everything begins as a justified attention to one's own thinking, then becomes an affection that crystallizes: not toward the Other, but toward one's own motion - surprising, indeed, and unique every time - toward the other:

Love for one's own Love, but no longer a favourable application of thinking in motion, that is, oriented.

Narcissism fails to grasp boredom, and remain sitting upon the crystal.
