…non dispositive.

 registration and sanction.

To benefit from one’s calling[1] / 78.

Upon birth, a child registers all at once the changes consisting of the presence of the Other compared to before: but the unconscious is fulfilled only with the sanction[2] of such registration. There is, therefore, an interval between registration and sanction: sanction and non-dispositive, meaning not automatic nor instinctual, genetically pre-disposed.

Thinking, the unconscious that is – it would be excessive to specify it —begins as a laborious option to a physiological lack of orientation.

Try to think of an interruption (possible to think, unfortunately!) between the registration of the offer and its sanction by the child: thinking is arrested at cognition, and certainly not willingly. This is the power of the Freudian urge, or motion of the law of thinking.[3]
